At the beginning

Sylvie Maréchal started with medical training and then with professional experience in fashion (Louis Vuitton, Galeries Lafayette).

In 2003, with the arrival of power LED on the market, she sensed that a revolution was underway in the field of lighting. She decides to take advantage of this technology by creating innovative designer lighting creations.

Then, in September 2004, at the Maison & Objet fair, she caused a sensation by presenting “Smoon”. The Smoon lamp was her first collection of rechargeable LED wireless lamps, which she patented.

It was finally in 2005 that she joined forces with 2 other designers and founded Beau & Bien, a light sculpture company. With a Made in France signature, of which it defines the DNA of the brand in 3 words: innovation, functionality, aesthetics.

Her inspiration

Struck by the attractiveness of French heritage and French style around the world, she decided to go back to basics. She decides to adopt a purely French craftsmanship using noble materials, such as Limoges porcelain and mouth blown glass. Inspired by the chandeliers of our Châteaux, it combines exceptional materials, craftsmanship and innovative technology. Sylvie Maréchal reinvents unique design suspensions and chandeliers and thus signs a French style version 21st century.

From 2014, designer Sylvie Maréchal embarked on the creation of bespoke suspensions and chandeliers, inspired by classic French aesthetics but revisited and reinvented in the style of the 21st century. Poetic and unique collections to personalize that can be found everywhere, in a hotel lobby, in a boutique and even in private homes.

All Beau & Bien collections are made in France and can be repaired to minimize the carbon footprint of all the creations. Likewise, each luminaire incorporates eco-design in all of its design and manufacturing stages.
